Information we collect

We collect account information (name, email), profile details you provide (buyer or seller profile), listing content, inquiries and access requests, billing information processed by our payment provider, and usage data such as listing views.

What sellers must not submit

Sellers must not upload client PII, tax returns, Social Security numbers, EINs/tax IDs, bank statements, payroll files, or client-level records. Public listings never display seller identity, firm name, street address, client names, employee names, or tax IDs.

How we use information

• To operate the directory, publish listings, and route inquiries and access requests.
• To process subscriptions through our payment provider (Stripe).
• To send transactional email (e.g., notifications) where you have not opted out.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

Sharing

We share confidential listing details with a buyer only after the seller approves that buyer's access request. We use service providers (hosting, database, email, payments) under appropriate terms. We do not sell your personal information.

Payment processing

Payments are handled by Stripe. CPA Acquire does not store full card numbers.

Data retention

We retain account and listing data while your account is active. Following cancellation, customer data is deleted on a defined schedule (target: 60 days after cancellation), subject to legal retention requirements. Archived listing data is removed on its own schedule.

Your choices

You can update your profile, opt out of non-essential email, and request deletion of your account by contacting us.
